Tensions were running high during the sound check and the band's bitter
feud with their arch rivals The Osmonds finally came to a head when
Little Jimmy Osmond flicked a rubber band at Graeme Phillips leaving
a faint red mark on just above his left eye. A three way skirmish quickly
developed with Phillips lunging at Little Jimmy with a meat cleaver
whilst Earle and Merle Osmond attacked John Rowley with pepper spray
and base ball bats. Meanwhile Hallam Lewis and Keith Millar extracted
Donny Osmond's teeth with pliers whilst he hung from the ceiling wrapped
in piano wire. The mele only came to an end when Wilf Legg threatened
to withold the bands' riders, crack cocaine and bourbon for the Ducks
and corn bread and sodi-pop for the Osmonds. However that was not the
end of the hostilities as anyone who knows Phillips knows he is a man
that bears a grudge and was about to extract a terrible revenge on poor
little Jimmy. As he sang Long Haired Lover From Liverpool Phillips doused
him in Hydrochloric acid leaving him blind, mute and hideously disfigured.
The gig was quite good |
